This page says what this website collects, why, how long we keep it and how to ask us about it. It covers compassielts.com. It does not cover the practice app.

Who runs this site
This site is run under the name Compass IELTS. No registered company is listed yet. When there is one, this page will name it.

What we collect
This table lists everything this site saves on its own servers, and when.

No cookie banner runs today, so nothing about cookie choices is recorded.

We use link clicks and tool results to count which links and tools people use.
Links to the practice app
Links from this site to the practice app carry a few tags in the address. They are the page you were on, the first page you landed on and the site that sent you. They also include any campaign or ad click tags that were in the link you arrived by.
This website does not save these tags in its database. The link passes them to the practice app when you click it.
Searching
When you search, your words are in the page address. They go from our server to our database to find results. We do not save them in our own records.
Server logs
Our host keeps logs of the requests it serves. A log can hold the page address you asked for, your browser type and the time. The address includes any search words and any tags in the link you arrived by. Our host also receives your IP address. How long it keeps its logs depends on our plan. Our database provider also keeps logs of database activity.
What we do not collect
This site has no accounts. We do not ask for your name or email address. The records in our database do not hold your IP address or your browser type. The word counter works in your browser, and the text you paste never leaves it.
Our server briefly uses your IP address in memory to limit abuse. It is not saved.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser today. The cookies page lists each one.
Analytics and advertising
No analytics or advertising tool runs on this site today. If we add one, we will ask you first and update this page.
How long we keep it
A scheduled job deletes older records from our database every day.

The host and the database provider keep their own logs for their own periods.
Your rights and getting data erased
You can write to help@compassielts.com to ask what we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it.
Email you send us stays in our mailbox until we delete it.
The other records in our database do not hold your name, email address or IP address, and we do not match them with anything else. So we cannot find them if you ask. We delete them on the schedule above.
Who handles the data
- Vercel. Hosts this site and serves its pages. It keeps request logs. Vercel is based in the United States and may process data outside your country.
- Supabase. Stores the records described above, and keeps logs of database activity. Its servers for this site are in North Virginia, in the United States.
- Google Workspace. Holds the email you send to us.
What this page does not cover
This page covers this website only. The practice app is a separate service with its own accounts.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes. We keep no mailing list, so we cannot write to you about changes.
